Victorian Home Restoration

This 1895 Victorian was sliding down a Portland hillside when Start To Finish Construction was brought in. The foundation was failing. The structure was a duplex in poor condition. Most contractors would have walked away. We stabilized it — new footings, new stem walls, two feet of basement dug out to create a full ADU with kitchenette and bathroom below grade. From there, the duplex was opened into one cohesive living space. An addition off the back created a heated outdoor tile deck above the garage. The upper floor was fully redesigned — two bedrooms, laundry, bathroom, and French doors onto a second rooftop heated tile deck. A new staircase leads up into the attic, where a master living suite and heated princess balcony now sit under new skylights. New roof, new siding, new Anderson-clad double-hung windows, new kitchens and bathrooms throughout. Foundation to attic — every inch of this house was touched.
